Mental Health Crisis Respite Services

When someone is experiencing an acute mental health crisis, sometimes they just need a safe place to go for a while. Mental Health Respite is there 24/7 to address short-term needs in a safe, supervised residential setting by connecting clients to the behavioral health services they need and helping them transition back into the community. This service helps avoid unnecessary or unwanted hospitalization.

Service Details

  • For adults 19 and older in Nebraska, primarily from the Region 4 service area (22 counties in Northeast Nebraska).
  • Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for up to 14 days.
  • This service is funded through the Division of Behavioral Health Region 4.
  • Case Manager, Certified Peer Support Specialists, and Recovery Coaches offer individual and group recovery services.
